Opportunities for Ministry
|
SUMMER SPECIAL MUSIC: A
sheet to sign-up for special music during July and
August is on a music stand in the hallway by the choir room. You have only
eleven services in which to glorify God with your gifts. Solos, duets or
small groups of singers, dancers or instrumentalists are welcome.
Please have music to Kelly no later than two weeks before the service in
which you are performing. |
|
The Church is looking for a new FINANCIAL secretary.
This is a volunteer position that takes about ½ hr. per week inputting
offering information and attending Finance committee meetings 4 times a year. If
you are interested in volunteering, please contact Connie Thompson, Finance
Chairperson or Gerry Hoffman, Finance, Co-Chair. |
|
ANOTHER THOUGHT: At age 12, Robert Louis Stevenson was
looking into the
dark from his upstairs window watching a man light the street lamps.
Stevenson's governess came into the room and asked what he was doing. He
replied, "I am watching a man cut holes in the darkness." I see this as a
marvelous picture of what our task should be as sharers of God's light -
people who are busy cutting holes in the spiritual darkness of our world. |

ATTENTION KENNIE'S SHOPPERS!

Thank you to my church family for your thoughts, prayers

|
PEW ENVELOPES!
You may have noticed the pew envelopes and on top of the mission can. These
envelopes are to be used for donations to the church that are not covered by
your regular envelopes. Some examples are mission can donations, special
collections, special service offerings, etc. If the envelopes are used, we will
be able to add that record to your giving statement. Please be sure to put your
envelope number and/or name on the envelope so we know to which account it
should be recorded. If you have any questions, please see Fred Myers or
Connie Thompson. |

Tape Ministry - Our members in nursing homes and
those unable to get to church and now able to hear our Sunday services and feel

take a tape to them, please call Ed and Charlotte Moore @ 334-1716. We owe David
Schmidt a debt of gratitude for helping us in recording these tapes. |
